31/7/08 - The Bill of Rights @ iSummit 2008
Coalition leaders appeared at a workshop specifically organized by IETSI at the iSummit 2008, the global meeting of the Creative Commons community, to discuss of the Bill of Rights with the commoners from all the world.

30/6/08 - New steering committee and progress report
The Coalition selected a steering committee to manage its operations, and issued a progress report as requested by the IGF Advisory Group.

28/2/08 - Coalition statement at the IGF Consultations
At the IGF Consultations held in Geneva on 26 February 2008, the Coalition released a statement outlining a vision, a mission and some future actions.

20/11/07 - A successful IGF for the Bill of Rights
The IGF held last week in Rio marked an outstanding success for the Dynamic Coalition on the Internet Bill of Rights. During an initial organizational meeting, the Coalition agreed on an ambitious working plan for next year. On the following day, the workshop organized by the Coalition saw great attendance and lots of interest. Among various declarations of support, the relevance of the Coalition's proposal was recognized by several speakers, including the IGF Secretariat, during the final sessions of the IGF.

14/11/07 - Report from the organizational meeting of the Coalition
The Dynamic Coalition held an organizational meeting on 12 November, at the IGF in Rio de Janeiro. It reviewed the results of the first year of activities and agreed on the vision of the project. It also launched a plan of action including the preparation of some substantive documents, but also other activities, such as an inventory of existing activities, literature and enforcement instruments in this field, and outreach to increase participation.

10/11/07 - Organizational meeting of the coalition
The Coalition will hold an organizational meeting at the IGF on Monday, 11:00-13:00, in room Queluz VI. The meeting is open to all members of the coalition as well as to anyone interested in joining it, and will focus on the status of the work and on working plans for next year, and on final details for Tuesday's public workshop.

3/11/07 - BoR workshop in Rio with Gil and Rodotà
The Dynamic Coalition on the Internet Bill of Rights will hold a workshop at the upcoming Internet Governance Forum in Rio, hosting remarks by Brazil's Minister of Culture, Gilberto Gil, and by the former Italian Privacy Commissioner, Stefano Rodotà. It aims to be a session in which to find common ground on which to base further efforts to recognize, define and enforce individual rights over the Internet.

1/9/07 - Call for contributions
The organizers of the "Dialogue Forum on Internet rights" would like to encourage the submission of short written contributions focusing on the two issues raised by the IGF Dynamic Coalition on the Internet Bill of Rights as working items for this year.

1/9/07 - Conference website open
The organizers of the Rome conference "Dialogue Forum on Internet rights" have set up their website, with all the necessary information about the meeting, at the URL http://www.dfiritaly2007.it/.

16/7/07 - International meeting set for September
The final date for the international meeting titled "Dialogue Forum on Internet Rights" has been set for September 27, in Rome.

19/6/07 - Meeting delayed
The meeting sponsored by the Italian government, originally foreseen for July, has been moved to September.

14/5/07 - Bill of Rights meeting date announced
The Italian government announces that the international meeting on the Internet Bill of Rights, previously announced in the IGF consultations, will be held on July 6th in Rome.

30/4/07 - New IGF consultations announced
The IGF Secretariat announced new IGF consultations to be held in Geneva on May 23. The agenda will be the proposed schedule for the second IGF in Rio; a draft has been posted on the IGF website.

14/2/07 - Italy announces a Bill of Rights conference
The government of Italy has announced their intention to organize an international conference on the Internet Bill of Rights in Rome in the upcoming months.

14/2/07 - Statement at the IGF consultations
We gave a statement to the IGF Consultations on 13 February 2007 in Geneva, to keep the broader IGF community appraised of our activities and introduce our new website.

7/2/07 - New website launched!
Finally, a new website has been launched for the Dynamic Coalition on the Internet Bill of Rights.
